Defender Max
A secure file upload module within the Defender Max platform
Defender Max provides both manual and automatic methods of secure file transfer - with integration capabilities to corporate security engines along with the consumption of security services from the Defender Max framework.
There are several reasons why secure file upload is important. These include:
- Protection against unauthorized access: Ensuring that only authorized /individuals can access uploaded files.
- Prevention of data loss: Reducing the risk of loss or corruption of uploaded files, and ensuring that important data is not lost.
- Compliance with regulations: Helping organizations comply with various regulations, such as data protection laws and industry-specific regulations.
- Protection against malware: Preventing malware from being uploaded to a system, which can compromise data security.
- Improved collaboration: Enabling more efficient and secure collaboration between individuals and organizations, allowing them to share information and work together more effectively.
There are two Safe options for securely sharing files: one for receiving files, and one for sending files externally. When files are received, they can be checked/reviewed for viruses and other security concerns, and then uploaded and copied to the directory of your choice (for example, a location in SharePoint).
The Safe module offers users several important features, including:
- SFTP support for automatic transfers
- API file transfer support (Sync, Async)
- Ability to scan uploaded/shared files with multiple security engines
- Utilization of multiple security engine categories (CDR, Sandbox, ML/AI, AV, DLP, Container)
- Load balancing of multiple security engines to scale performance
- Single Sign-On (SSO) support for integration with BigIP F5, Pulse, and Azure
Integration with MFT and collaboration solutions.
